The "Shterno Star" necklace from the "Mother-of-Pearl Clouds" collection is the embodiment of the sky's ever-changing beauty and the enduring strength of our ancestors. The centerpiece is the octagonal "Shterno Star" pendant, an exclusive design created specifically for our brand. It integrates the SHTERNO logo with traditional Hutsul wood carving motifs. At the heart of the star shines the Hromnyk (Flower of Life), serving as a powerful symbol of life energy and inner resilience.
The "Nacreous Clouds" collection is inspired by the ethereal beauty of sunsets and the delicate pink-and-violet palette of natural aquamarine, rose quartz, and lavender amethyst.
Materials: Rose quartz, lavender amethyst, aquamarine, brass pendants.
About the Materials
Lavender Amethyst
These are select, light, translucent beads of amethyst, a mineral that naturally possesses a wide palette of purple shades. Amethyst is the most precious variety of the mineral quartz. Its characteristic violet color arises from iron impurities and the influence of natural radiation over millions of years. It is a transparent or translucent stone with a vitreous luster and high hardness (7 on the Mohs scale), making it resistant to scratches.
Aquamarine
A variety of the mineral beryl, aquamarine is renowned for its delicate blue or greenish-blue color, reminiscent of seawater. Its shades can range from nearly transparent to deep blue, depending on the iron content in its composition. This stone features a vitreous luster and high hardness (7.5–8 on the Mohs scale), ensuring durability for daily wear. Since ancient times, aquamarine has been associated with the sea, purity, and tranquility; sailors once carried it as a talisman to protect against storms and bring luck on voyages.
Madagascan Rose Quartz
This high-quality rose quartz is mined on the island of Madagascar. The mineral’s wide range of pink hues is provided by microscopic inclusions of titanium, iron, or manganese, while its translucent structure creates a soft glowing effect.
Note: This mineral is sensitive to sunlight. Prolonged exposure to UV rays can cause it to lose its saturation and fade toward white quartz. Therefore, it is recommended to store and wear the jewelry avoiding long periods in direct sunlight.
Moonstone
A mineral belonging to the feldspar group. Its unique optical effect, known as adularescence, creates the illusion of a soft, shifting light gliding across the stone's surface, like moonlight dancing on water.
