Necklace with Brass Doves and Black Pearls. This necklace combines the elegance of black pearls with the delicate symbolism of doves. Thanks to their iridescent hues ranging from deep blue to rich black, known as "peacock feather", the pearls add sophistication and mystery to the piece. Wealthy Cossack families would take a valuable coin, heart, or icon, and a jeweler would craft a pendant with floral embellishments, often adorned with precious stones. These settings, known as "bants," had variations depending on the region or traditional crafting methods.
