Necklaces with hearts have been a very stylish item in recent years. We decided to join this trend by using heart-shaped pendants that are handmade by Ukrainian masters, as hearts also have their place in Ukrainian jewelry. Such hearts were used in earrings, so-called veremii and kalachyky, and there are examples where heart pendants were added to crosses.
Also, dukaches in the shape of hearts existed, and this type of dukach is called a yahnusok. It is believed that the veneration of the heart cult came to Ukraine from Western Europe. In Catholic culture, metal (silver) plates in the shape of a heart were brought as a symbol of faith, a sacrifice, or a plea for healing. The most widespread dukaches with heart-shaped medallions were in Sloboda Ukraine - Kharkiv, Kursk, and Voronezh regions. These necklaces are complemented by natural stones, traditional and vintage materials (amber, mother-of-pearl, coral, pearls), modern beads (such as "Venice-style" glass beads), metal (mostly brass) traditional pierced beads, shipshynky beads, and modern findings.
A heart necklace will be a wonderful gift for a loved one, mother, friend, or yourself. They can complement festive, ethnic, or wedding attire, or embellish an everyday look.<
