This delicate necklace is crafted from blue toned quartz, modern white mother-of-pearl beads (resembling antique balamut), glass beads, and brass pendants. All pendants are handmade from brass: a central dukach "yahnusok" in the shape of a heart with a flower and birds, flanked by small hearts and tiny birds.

Blue toned quartz is natural quartz that has acquired a rich aquamarine color through a toning process. Thanks to its natural base, it retains the original's main physical properties: a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale (making it quite scratch-resistant) and a vitreous luster. The toned beads maintain their color and brightness well.
Mother-of-pearl is a natural material that forms inside mollusks (like pearls) and is known for its soft glow and iridescent texture. In Ukrainian tradition, there was a similar material called "balamut," which was fossilized mother-of-pearl. It was used in folk jewelry and had not only decorative but also protective significance.
The main pendant, the dukach "yahnusok," is a modern stylistic interpretation of traditional Ukrainian pendants, handcrafted from brass. "Yahnusy" (or "yahnusky") refers to dukaches where the medallions are heart-shaped, with different variations of such hearts traditionally popular in various regions.
The additional pendants —small birds and tiny hearts—are also handcrafted brass.
The necklace's length is adjustable with delicate blue velvet ribbons, also a nod to traditional Ukrainian jewelry.
