Zgardy are necklaces with Hutsul crosses. These necklaces have a special place in our work. Zgardy could be a metal ornament woven from solid wire, had from 1 to 5 rows and contained several to 15-20 crosses. Or they were crosses interspersed with precious materials, which we also use in our work - coral, beads (glass beads or Venetian). We fantasize on this theme and stylize zgardy with pearls, amber and vintage and modern natural stones. We use Hutsul button beads. It is very important to distinguish the concept of zgardy itself, because it is a necklace with Hutsul crosses made by master brasssmiths. From ancient times, many documented forms and museum exhibits have remained, which are reproduced or interpreted by modern masters. This is a very valuable layer of our culture in jewelry and we want to popularize both the craft and the fashion for Zgardi. Necklaces with crosses are complemented by natural stones, Venetian glass beads, traditional materials (coral, pearls, amber, mother-of-pearl), metal beads and modern accessories.
