This section brings together necklaces where the central pendant is a dukach with doves and hearts. Dukachi are traditional Ukrainian pendants consisting of two parts: a bant (a decorated loop to which the pendant is attached) and a medallion. They were popular throughout Ukraine and had many regional variations. In these dukachi, the doves are an original copy of an ancient bant, and the hearts are a modern variation of the medallion (traditional heart-shaped medallions also existed and were called yangusky).
The dukach with doves and a heart is made of brass by a Ukrainian master jeweler, who based it on traditional Ukrainian pendants. Here, the doves are a copy of an ancient bant, and the heart is a more modern interpretation of the medallion. Doves were a symbol of fidelity and sincerity of feelings.
For dove necklaces, we used traditional and vintage materials (coral, pearls, mother-of-pearl) or natural stones (rose quartz, amethyst, angelite, etc.) and complemented them with metal (mostly brass) traditional pierced beads (shipshynky) or glass beads ("Venice-style"), secured with modern findings.
These minimalist women's necklaces are a wonderful gift for a loved one, mother, yourself, or a friend. They are suitable for office, everyday style, or for festive dresses, ethnic attire, and vyshyvankas.
