My name is Polina Shtern. The SHTERNO brand was founded in July 2022, although I have been creating jewelry since 2009, and in 2018, I launched my first fantasy jewelry brand.
Shterno (Штерно) is a star that reveals the powerful energy of shine, starting from the center—the flower of life. It fills the soul and body, reflecting in dreams and actions. I want every piece of jewelry to remind you: the power of shine lives within us, and it must be nurtured.
The idea for the name came about because “shterno” in the Hutsul region refers to a star-shaped element in wood carving, embroidery, and pysanky. In a mountain village in the Hutsul region, I began creating these pieces, uncovering the depth of the history of Ukrainian jewelry.
The philosophy of my jewelry is simple: they are magical objects that give the wearer a source of shine. By wearing these pieces, you can recognize a person and understand that they belong to your tribe. When you wear certain jewelry, you are saying, "I belong to this lineage, I have these roots."

All pieces are assembled by hand from ready-made parts and beads. I use pendants from Ukrainian craftsmen who work with metal—“brass workers”—and jewelers—“goldsmiths.” In the “Necklaces in Stock” category, the products are shipped within 1–3 days. Jewelry with the "Made to Order" sticker is created within 3–4 weeks with exclusive details, as it is impossible to make an exact copy of each item.
