The main detail of the necklaces in this section is a carefully handcrafted brass bird, which is also a small bell. In the Hutsul region, necklaces with such bells are called "shelesky" (rustling). The bird in these necklaces symbolizes the arrival of spring and new beginnings, emphasizes the ethnic accent of the jewelry, and adds a sense of lightness.
The "background" for the shelesky is provided by natural stone beads (lapis lazuli, tourmaline), multi-colored Kosiv ceramics, and traditional materials (especially mother-of-pearl).
