This section features necklaces with a lunula as the main pendant. This traditional amulet-like decoration in the shape of a crescent moon was one of the most common female pendants from the times of Kyivan Rus (and all Slavic peoples in Europe between the 8th and 12th centuries; these pendants even made their way to Scandinavian countries when Vikings took Slavic women as wives). It is believed that women wore lunulas as amulets, but this is not known for certain, as there are no written sources from that time regarding lunulas. We believe that lunulas are a powerful confirmation of Ukraine's belonging to Europe, as these pendants are found across a wide territory, almost throughout the country. This pendant has many variations and has been worn by women for many centuries. Today, we carry on this link to ancient fashion and pass our generational memory into the future. We attach great importance to these pendants and want to popularize them, so we use historical copies and authentic traditional forms in our work. After all, only such items are true lunulas. The lunula pendants presented in this section are made by Ukrainian master blacksmiths and jewelers from brass, silver, bronze, and cupronickel.
The necklaces use natural stones, traditional and vintage materials (amber, mother-of-pearl, coral, pearls), modern beads (such as "Venice-style" glass beads), metal (mostly brass) pierced beads, and modern findings.
Minimalist necklaces with "flower of life" lunulas will be a wonderful daily amulet and complement to an everyday look, while lush necklaces with larger lunulas will add sophistication to festive, ethnic, and wedding attire.
