This section features chokers on memory wire – thanks to their metal base, they maintain their shape well and can stay on the neck even without a clasp. It's important to note that chokers require careful storage, kept separately from other necklaces, either horizontally in a drawer or box, or vertically, hanging on jewelry stands. The standard length of a choker is 40-42 cm plus an extender chain. If needed, you can order a different necklace length by measuring your neck circumference and specifying your desired size in the order comments.
Chokers are adorned with natural stone beads, materials traditional for jewelry (amber, corals, pearls), and their modern interpretations (such as glass beads made using Venetian techniques). Various pendants – dukachi, zhardy, puhvytsi, yahnusky, coins, crosses, svargy, lunnytsi, berehyni, and more – are handcrafted by Ukrainian brass masters or jewelers, adhering to traditional technologies and forms. The main materials for the pendants are brass, silver, and bronze.
The primary advantages of these chokers are their versatility, comfort, lightweight construction, and vibrant design. The beads and pendants placed on the front part have clear forms without adding excessive weight, which is especially relevant for those who enjoy wearing jewelry daily.
Chokers can be worn as standalone pieces or as part of a layered necklace set. They complement embroidered shirts (vyshyvanka), traditional Ukrainian attire, modern business and everyday ethno, boho, and casual styles, as well as festive and wedding outfits.
