This rigid choker, designed to retain its shape, belongs to the "Kyivan Rus" series, dedicated to lunula pendants—crescent-shaped amulets widely worn by Slavic women in the 10th–12th centuries, particularly in Kyivan Rus and across most of modern-day Ukraine. The central element is a brass lunula, a replica of a historical artifact featuring three serpent heads. In ancient times, such pendants symbolized a connection to lunar cycles and feminine energy, while serpent motifs were often associated with protective qualities, as in Slavic mythology, the serpent represented wisdom, guardianship, and fertility.
The piece combines agate, with its natural patterns, and baroque pearls, which add a soft glow to the necklace. Agate is renowned for its layered texture and array of shades, historically linked to resilience and balance. The uniquely shaped baroque pearls contribute to the refined elegance of this choker.
The warm, creamy hues of the stones, paired with the brass lunula, remind us of the legendary Kyiv Cake—giving this choker a special, delicate charm.
Necklace length – adjustable, as the choker wraps around the neck.
