This necklace is part of the Kyivan Rus collection, featuring lunula pendants — ancient crescent-shaped amulets worn by women in the 10th–12th centuries across Ukrainian lands.
The model “Kyiv Witch” channels mystery and strength. At the center is a lunula with a small cross — a replica of a rare early-Christian pendant blending pagan roots and emerging Christian motifs.
The contrast of lava stone and red coral adds texture and symbolism. Lava brings grounding and dark, earthy tones, while coral — with its bold red — evokes protection, passion, and the sacred feminine.
The form-holding base recalls a grivna — a neck ring worn in Kyivan Rus, which also functioned as a unit of silver currency. This choker is a modern-day tribute to that ancient strength and symbolism.
Length: 42 cm (16.5") + adjustable extender with signature SHTERNO tag.
