Its color, ranging from pale lilac to rich dark purple, results from iron impurities within the mineral and the influence of natural radiation. It's a transparent or translucent stone with a vitreous luster and high hardness (7 on the Mohs scale), making it scratch-resistant.
The lunula is a traditional female amulet popular in Slavic cultures. Its crescent shape symbolizes connection to natural cycles and feminine energy.
