This minimalist necklace features delicate purple amethyst complemented by a dove Dukach pendant and decorative filigree beads. Historically, necklaces with Dukach pendants were popular across Ukraine and had many regional variations in both the medallion and the bow component. These doves are a modernized version of traditional pendants, perfectly enhanced by the round filigree beads and the amethyst.

Amethyst is the most valuable variety of the mineral quartz ($SiO_2$). Its characteristic purple color results from iron substitutions and exposure to natural radiation over millions of years. It is a transparent or translucent stone with a vitreous luster and high hardness (7 on the Mohs scale), making it durable and scratch-resistant.
The Dukach with doves and a heart is made of brass by a Ukrainian jeweler, who based the design on traditional Ukrainian pendants. Historically, the Dukach served as an amulet and a sign of prosperity, as precious coins or religious images were used for these pendants. Here, the doves have a more contemporary look with hearts, yet the connection to the ancient Dukach "bows" and traditional symbolism is clear, where doves were a symbol of fidelity and sincerity of feelings.
