Necklaces in the style of traditional Hutsul zgardas were among the first for our brand and remain in demand today. The idea to combine brass pendants—replicas of historical ones—and modern materials in one piece of jewelry to popularize traditional symbols and show that they will suit not only ethnic style but also a variety of modern outfits became one of the key ones for SHTERNO.
Here, natural, untoned aquamarine of a greyish-blue hue is used, creating a very delicate background for three svarga pendants (traditional solar symbols, made of brass by a mosiaznyk master).

Aquamarine is a variety of the mineral beryl, known for its delicate blue or greenish-blue color, reminiscent of seawater. Its shades can range from almost transparent to saturated blue, depending on the iron impurities in its composition. This stone is characterized by a glassy luster and high hardness (7.5-8 on the Mohs scale), making it durable and resistant to daily wear.
The handmade brass Hutsul svarga crosses are copies of ancient ones. These crosses are unique because they are similar to solar symbols found among various ethnic groups since the Neolithic period. It is believed that such "crosses" are pre-Christian symbols of the sun's movement. It was important because it was used to determine such events as: the start of field work, harvesting, and storage. The beginning, middle, and end of the year. At these moments, people stopped and marked these points of the sun's movement with important holidays, the echoes of which we still feel today: Koliada, Christmas, Malanka and Vasyl, Easter, Green Holidays, Spas, Pokrova, etc.
The necklace length is 42 cm, and an extension chain with the signature SHTERNO logo adds a few extra centimeters.
