This necklace is crafted in the style of traditional Hutsul zgardas, which historically incorporated not only metal elements but also Venetian glass beads. The design features a replica of an authentic Hutsul cross, white Venetian beads, and natural baroque pearls.
Venetian beads, also known as "patsyorky," were exquisite glass beads created by master artisans on the island of Murano in Venice. These beads were intricately crafted with gold decorations, making them highly valuable and prestigious. Due to active trade in timber used for Venice’s construction, the Hutsuls acquired these unique beads, integrating them into their traditional zgardas. This necklace includes modern glass beads that replicate the style and aesthetic of historical Venetian pieces.
The natural baroque pearls add an organic and distinctive touch, emphasizing the authenticity of the piece. Their irregular shapes create a textured, sophisticated composition, enhancing the historical symbolism of the necklace. The five Hutsul cross pendants, exact replicas of antique designs, complete the composition, embodying protection and deep cultural heritage.
Necklace length – 42 cm, with an adjustable chain featuring the SHTERNO brand logo for additional length.
