The name "tourmaline" comes from the Sinhalese word "turmali," meaning "stone that attracts ash." This name refers to its ability to become electrically charged when heated or rubbed, attracting small particles. One of tourmaline's most unique features is its ability to form crystals with multiple distinct colors within a single specimen. For instance, "watermelon" tourmaline has a pink core, a white band, and a green rind, resembling a slice of watermelon. The wide palette of this mineral's varieties makes it one of the most colorful minerals on Earth.
The Berehynia is one of the oldest female amulets, embodying protection, fertility, and a connection to ancestors. The "sown field" symbol on the pendant is a sacred sign reflecting the idea of abundance and life-giving energy, passed down through generations in traditional Ukrainian ornamentation.
Size: Necklace length is 40 cm + 5 cm extension chain for adjustment. It features the signature Shterno logo at the end.
