The name "tourmaline" comes from the Sinhalese word "turmali," which means "stone that attracts ash." This name points to its ability to become electrified when heated or rubbed, attracting small particles. One of the most unique features of tourmaline is its ability to form crystals with several different colors in a single sample. For example, "watermelon" tourmaline has a pink core, a white band, and a green outer layer, resembling a slice of watermelon. The wide palette of varieties of this mineral makes it one of the most colorful minerals on Earth.
The large handmade eight-pointed star is made of brass.
The length of the necklace is 40 cm, the ribbon ties are 30 cm. This allows you to adjust the length and height of the necklace when used with other jewelry.
