A necklace featuring baroque pearls, carnelian, and a handmade brass lunula with a carnelian set in the center. The lunula is a crescent-shaped pendant. This is a modern stylization of an ancient amulet that was popular among all Slavic peoples across Europe during the 8th to 12th centuries. It is considered a tribute to the cyclical nature of women and to the goddesses who personified the moon and were patronesses of women.

Pearls are precious stones of animal origin that do not require faceting or polishing. They are born with a perfect shape and soft luster, ready for use in jewelry. The natural asymmetrical shape means that every bead in the piece will be unique and one-of-a-kind.
Carnelian is one of the oldest semi-precious stones, having been used since Neolithic times. In antiquity, it was called a "princely stone" due to its bright hue and association with power, wisdom, and energy. Thanks to its warm glow and translucent structure, carnelian not only gives the jewelry a special charm but also remains a symbol of vital force.
A Lunula is a traditional female amulet that was popular in Slavic cultures. Its crescent shape symbolizes a connection to natural cycles and feminine energy. In Kyivan Rus', lunulae were worn as pendants on necklaces, earrings, or as elements of headdresses, and their discovery during archaeological excavations confirms the long tradition of this symbol on the territory of Ukraine.
The necklace length is 42 cm, and an extension chain with the signature SHTERNO logo adds a few extra centimeters.
