The Milky Way necklace got its name from the combination of colors and shades of white moonstone and rose quartz, highlighted by small beads of precious tanzanite. Rose quartz is a variety of quartz that gets its delicate color from microscopic inclusions of titanium, iron, or manganese in its mineral composition. It has a translucent structure that creates the effect of a soft glow. It is important to know that this mineral is sensitive to sunlight—with prolonged exposure to ultraviolet light, it can lose its intensity and become closer to white quartz. Therefore, it is recommended to store and wear the jewelry, avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
Moonstone is a mineral belonging to the feldspar group. Its unique optical effect, known as adularescence or iridescence, creates the illusion of a soft, shifting light gliding over the stone's surface, like moonlight on water.
The handmade brass pendant is in the shape of a large eight-pointed star.
The necklace length is 42 cm, and an extension chain with the signature SHTERNO logo adds a few extra centimeters.
