This necklace, crafted from lava stone and jasper, features a refined palette of natural tones accented by a brass "topirets" (axe) pendant. Such axes, known as bartkas, have been used across Ukraine since ancient times—as evidenced by archaeological finds—and remain a powerful cultural symbol today.
The unique, spring-like brass beads are called "perelizhky", traditional elements of Hutsul jewelry. In the mountain cultures of the Carpathians, men wore these necklaces as a mark of status, referring to them as "Gazda" necklaces (meaning the jewelry of a master or householder). This versatile piece seamlessly blends historical motifs with modern aesthetics, making it a standout accessory for both ethnic-inspired and contemporary trend-focused looks.
