Amethyst Necklace with "Berehynia" Amulet Pendant
This necklace features smooth amethyst beads and a central "Berehynia" amulet pendant. The central symbol, Berehynia, is one of the most ancient images in cultures that existed on the territory of modern-day Ukraine. Its roots trace back to the Neolithic era and are vividly represented in the pottery paintings of the Trypillian civilization (5th-4th millennia BCE), as well as in votive figurines. There, Berehynia was revered as the Great Goddess, patroness of lineage, fertility, and protector of the home hearth. Over time, her schematic image transformed into ornaments in Ukrainian embroidery, particularly on rushnyky (embroidered towels), continuing to carry her protective symbolism through the ages.

- Materials: Natural amethyst, jewelry alloy with a bronze-tone coating.
- Stones / Inserts: Amethyst is the most valuable variety of the mineral quartz (SiO2). Its characteristic purple color results from iron impurities and the influence of natural radiation over millions of years. It is a transparent or semi-transparent stone with a vitreous luster and high hardness (7 on the Mohs scale), making it resistant to scratches.
- Size: Necklace length – 40 cm + 5 cm extension chain for adjustment. Finished with the signature Shterno logo.
